Hi,

I recently purchased an non-hp cartridge for my printer, however, when I try to print something, it says "Black ink cartridge problem". I know it is a blocked cartridge problem and would like to have the problem solved. Before this happened I used a cartridge from the same brand without any problems.

One of the solutions proposed is disabling HP Cartridge Protection from HP local WebServer, but that option is not available, as you can see here: https://postimg.org/image/y566618b9/

Best Regards,

Hi,

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately none of the given methods has worked out. I believe the problem lies on the Cartridge Protection. I don´t have that option available on my Toolbox, as I have been seeing in other users who have the same issue.

Well you are not getting the error message that says the cartridge is protected so I doubt that is it.  What is under ALL the tabs you show?  Advanced tab?

These? I also add a photo of the screen of my printer.

I'm guessing that printer does not have cartridge protection available.

Is it possible to revert to a previous firmware? Or activate the option with a potential hidden option in the printer?

That's an old printer, so probably no.  I suspect the cartridges are defective.   Just return them to your supplier as they all have a 2 year 100% money back guarantee if any goes wrong.

Well, I guess I will have to do that anyway. And in fact I did not think that could have been a problem with the ink itself.
