My Printer model is HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545.
I had a HP deskjet 3540 series software installed. I was able to install , scan without any issues. It stopped working. Not sure when this stopped working. When i googled to figure out, I was asked to install HP Smart. I installed it. When i launched, it was showing the printer, but with status unknown. When i client the printer status, nothing is displayed. When i client printer information , i get the details as printer installed. Refer the screen shots attached. Basically, the newly installed HP Smart is having issues. I'm not able to print or scan. I can see a USB port added. When i select and print, i was able to print. Anything through HPSmartPrintingPort is not working. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
Note: I have already tried to uninstall, re-install HP Smart. Issue still exists.

Welcome to the HP support community.

This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue.
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.

- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Click here to download the HP Smart app.
If the issue persists, follow these steps to fix the issue.
Assign a manual IP address to manually connect the printer.
Find the printer IP address to assign it manually.
1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu.
2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu.
3. Select Print Report, and then select Configuration Page
Setting a Static IP Address
Once you know your printer’s IP address from the page you printed, entering it is pretty easy. Here’s what you do:
- Run your Web browser.
- In the Web browser’s address bar, type the IP address of your printer and press Enter. Assuming you entered the right address, the HP printer control panel should appear.
- Click the Networking tab.
- Under Connections, click Wireless.
- Under IP Address Configuration, click Manual IP.
- Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in the appropriate boxes.
- Click Apply.
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
