Deskjet 3630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a problem with my Deskjet 3630 printer: It asks me for a (admin) password but I can't reminder to have ever set one. I already tried to set the printer to factory reset. I found different ways to do so (holding power while pressing copy black twice or three times and then three times the stop button; holding power then six times the stop button; ...) but nothing helped. It makes noises as if it starts the resetting but there's still an admin password I am asked for...

Hi@Jorge559, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I see from the post that you have lost the admin password for your HP Printer and you want to reset the printer settings. I'll be really glad to help you with this,

Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector

Please perform a Hard reset on the printer.

* With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

* Remove USB cable, if present.

* Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

* Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

* Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

* Now check if it works.

Next thing, I would suggest is to perform an advanced reset on the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
