Purchased a Deskjet 3755 for use in my college dorm room. I'm unable to connect with it over wifi due to limitations with the college's security on the network, but the printer won't work when hardlined into my laptop using the USB that came with the product.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you for being a part of HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I understand you need support and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:
Are you able to copy documents?
Have you tried connecting the printer USB cable to a different USB port on the PC?
Have you tried using a different USB cable?
Could you also print a self test page and let me know the results. In order to print a self test page, press and hold the Power button , and then press the Cancel button
. Let go of the Cancel button and then the Power button.
Let me know!

You are welcome 🙂 Since the printer can copy and print a test page it could be an issue with the print driver installed on your PC. Use the method below to remove all existing print drivers from your PC:
1.) Unplug the printer USB cable.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
14.) Click view and select Show hidden devices.
15.) Look below Imaging devices and Printers. If you find any printer entry right click and select Uninstall.
16.) Restart the PC.
Download and install the printer software and driver available here.
Let me know how it goes!
