Hi, I need to reset the local admin password on the printer but cannot find any information on how to do this.,
To clarify this is NOT the wireless password, network password - it is the local printer password to control the local administrator settings on the device, I set it 3 years ago when I bought the device but can no longer remember it.
It is out of warranty so the only support from HP is to buy telephone support, but that part of your web site is currently down.
Any help welcome.
thanks
thanks

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue We need to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
