HP Deskjet 4720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Deskjet 4720 printer is connected to the network via Wi-Fi. One user with Windows 10 64bit can print and scan without any problem. Documents sent from cellphones are also printed.
Another user with Windows 10 64bit can scan but not print with this printer. Windows is 100% updated. HP SMART detects a printer and can scan but not print. All print jobs are stuck in the print queue with an error.
I downloaded and launched HP Print and Scan Doctor. It reached to print a test page, but it didn’t print, it hung in the queue with an error. HP Print and Scan Doctor rebooted the computer, started up again, reached to the Printer Queue item and issued an error: "Delay print job in the print queue. The tool could not solve the problem even after rebooting. Contact Support."
Print quality diagnostic page is printed.
Can anybody help me with this problem?

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers. 
  • Restart the PC again.

Hi Sandytechy20,
Thanks for the answer.
I uninstalled my printer from "Programs and Features" and removed from "Devices and Printers." When I tried to remove the printer driver, I received error messages:
Failed to remove the HP DJ 4720 Series driver. The specified printer driver is busy.
Failed to remove hpygid20.inf driver package. This driver package is used.
How can i fix this?

This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
