Hello, I have a HP Deskjet D1430 printer, I just removed from the box, its old but brand new.  It came with no driver disk and my new laptop doesn't have a driver disk.

Does anyone know if I can still use this Printer, it's small and seems perfect for just printing out a sheet here and there for something.

Thanks,

Pinto16

@Pinto16, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that you are trying to install the printer on the computer. This is an end-of-life printer. There is no driver available on the HP Support site for this printer.

However, you may install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing. Use Deskjet 990c driver if your printer is not listed.

If this does not help, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
