Hello! Good afternoon!

I had my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1516 printer working with macOS Big Sur, but after updating to MacOS Monterey, the printer stopped working. When I tried to print, the message "Waiting for printer to become available" appeared. Thinking it was an OS incompatibility, I formatted the computer and downgraded to Big Sur. I reinstalled all the drivers still available here on the HP website, but the problem persists. Can anyone help me?

Hi @JulianaGabriel8

Please try to install following next steps:

(1) Connect a USB cable between your printer and Mac computer:

(2) Then please download and install  HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:

(3) And go to System Preferences > Printers then Add the printer.

* Click YES   to say thank you,

* Click Accepted as Solution when question is answered.

Best regards,

ferRX.
