macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have two old MacBook Pros, both on High Sierra. One prints to the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2376, using the HP 2300 Series drivers, the other didn't. Then I noticed the one that did print also had the 1510 Series drivers installed, so I installed that and the other Mac starting printing. It is really confusing to find out exactly where these drivers are stored, as some are in /Library/Printers and some in ~/Library/Printers. And the names that show up in System Preferences/Printers & Scanners are not the same as found in the ~/Library/Printers/

@jondear

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Are you able to print still?

Let us know 🙂

Thanks!

Yes, both Macs continue to print using the 1510 Series drivers, rather than the HP 2300 Series drivers, which are the correct ones for the 2376 printer.

That is completely ok.
