Deskjet Plus 4120
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hi,

I try to install a new DeskJet Plus 4120 to my MacBook Pro OS Sierra 10.12.6: it does not work.

123.hp.com tells me it needs OS 10.13 or higher.

HP support suggests to install a software update "2028A/2028B/2028C" which I did, but at some stage I get an error message and it won't work out neither.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You may use AirPrint to print and scan from macOS 10.12 through a wireless connection:

https://support.hp.com/lt-en/document/c05635968

Is the printer already connected to your wireless network?

Please print and evaluate a Wireless Network Test page:

Is the printer already connected to your home network?

Within the Current Configuration section, what is the listed Network Name (SSID)?

What can you see on the top of the printed report? is there any Attention listed there?
