Is there anyway to disable the duplex option entirely from the printer? I will never need it. Firmware/hardware level disable. 

 

Intermittently every few days I will go to print something and the printer will print it two-sided. Regardless of my settings. I even try to turn on two-sided printing and turn it back off in the print menu but that does not work. 

 

I've even tried setting the behavior in the CUPS settings but still. 

 

The only solution (temporary) is to remove and re-add the printer.
