HP Compaq
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Envy 4507 all-in-one.

For years it has been installed on my HP Compaq - originally on Win7, and after a 'free' upgrade to Win10 on the same pc, had been working perfectly via USB.

I have recently purchased a Ricoh Laser printer, as I am starting to do a lot of printing and wanted a more economical B/W printer.

So I unplugged the 4507 and connected via wireless - not for the first time via wireless as when originally purchased it was connected via wireless on Win7, but after 3 house moves in 22 months, it had been connected via USB.

So originally connected via wireless on W7, then via USB, upgrade pc to W10, still on USB, but now on wireless on W10.

As soon as I connected it via wireless, the printer installed software again, but it dropped off print list for documents.

I ran diagnostic via wireless  and all reports fine. But print and scanner list shows printer but 'driver is unavailable'.

I have downloaded new software and ran installation, but same problem keeps getting reported:

'Call to driver package install returned error - 536870141 for package  c:\programfiles\hp\hp envy 4500 series\driverstore\yeti\hpvyt11.inf'

Before anyone asks/tells: I have spent over 27 years in IT support and maintenance and never come across anything like this before. I have cleared temp files, disabled UAC, ran compatability support, tried to install from disk, investigated MSC and deleted HP drivers from files. I have tried to install software via HP website, off original disk and downloads. I have searched numerous forums and 'help' pages, ran every concevable scenario for an install and NOTHING - just the same message as above.

This is really getting to pulling out my hair - what little I have left.

So, all you helpfull people, any suggestions? And, yes, I've also sent numerous failed install reports to HP and M/soft, HP keep redirecting me to same page to no avail, I've also downloaded HP troubleshooter and Print and Scan doctor 5.2. Nothing, nada, zilch.
