Drivers won't download for my printer. I have tried multiple times, but it keeps saying "drivers didn't download."

There is no reason for this other than the company is refusing to allow me to keep using the printer that I paid for!!

How is it ok to pay for something and not be allowed to use it when it is still operational!!

Hi @Duckish33,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration. Issues with downloading drivers can be really frustrating, but there are several steps you can try to resolve this.

  • Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and working properly. Sometimes, unstable connections can interfere with downloading large files like printer drivers.
  • Restart Your Computer and Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer and printer can resolve temporary glitches.
  • Update Operating System: Make sure your operating system (Windows or macOS) is up to date. Sometimes, outdated OS versions can cause compatibility issues with drivers.
  • Download Drivers from Official Website: Visit the official HP support website for your printer model. Ensure you're downloading the correct drivers for your operating system version (e.g., Windows 10 64-bit, macOS Big Sur).
  • Use a Different Browser: Sometimes, browser settings or extensions can interfere with downloads. Try using a different browser to download the drivers.
  • Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily: Your antivirus or firewall settings might be blocking the download. Temporarily disable them and try downloading the drivers again.
  • Clear Browser Cache: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try downloading the drivers again.

Regarding your frustration about not being able to use the printer you paid for, it's important to remember that technical issues like driver downloads are usually not intentional restrictions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
