When printing on my HP ENVY 4520, I get a message on my MacBook Pro stating that I need a software update. How do I accomplish this?

I see that you need to update the printer software.

 

Please follow the steps listed below to install the firmware update from HP smart App.
1. Go to https://123.hp.com/ to install the HP Smart app on your mobile device (if not installed).
2. After completing the printer setup, click or tap your printer name.
NOTE: Menu names, locations, and available settings vary by printer model.
3. Under Advanced, select Printer Home Page (EWS) or Advanced Settings.
4. Click or tap Tools or Web Services.
5. Click or tap Printer Updates or Product Update, and then click or tap Check Now.
