HP ENVY 7100 NOT TURNING ON - GETTING STUCK IN LOADING. HOW DO I GET IT TO TURN ON?

Hi @B123B123

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Your HP Envy 7100 series printer is powering on but gets stuck at the HP logo/loading screen and won’t fully boot. This is usually a firmware hang or hardware initialization issue

Here are some steps you can try:

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Power Reset

Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer (while it is ON).

Disconnect the cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips).

Reconnect the cord to the printer and turn it on.

Sometimes this clears the stuck state.

2. Check for Hardware Jam

Open the ink access door and paper tray.

Make sure there are no paper jams or carriage blockages.

Remove and re-seat ink cartridges, then close everything properly.

A jam or mis-seated cartridge can prevent the printer from booting.

3. Firmware Recovery (if available)

If the printer shows the HP logo but hangs:

Connect the printer to your PC with a USB cable.

Download the latest HP Firmware Update Utility for your model from HP’s site.

Run it — if the printer is detected, reinstall the firmware.

Do you see the printer stuck only on the HP logo, or does it restart in a boot loop (on-off-on repeatedly)? That’ll help me narrow down whether it’s a firmware or hardware issue.
