HP Envy 7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When trying to activate Wifi on my HP Envy 7640, I get the error message "Wirelss will not work when an ethernet cable is connected to the printer. To use wireless, disconnect the Ethernet cable first." There is no ethernet cable plugged into the back of my printer. The only cord I have attached is the power adapter.

I rpinted a wireless network test result and it says that "The wireless radio on your HP printer is currently turned OFF" It tells me to refer to a setup guide that I don't have.

HELP.

Reset the printer back to Network Defaults via the from panel.  Verify the Wireless Radio is enabled via the front panel.  Now try again.

I have tried this solution, but I get the same error message. It still thinks something is connected to the ethernet port.

Can you plug in an Ethernet cable and connect it to your router.  Verity it is connected.  Then unplug the cable and check again.

If the same occurs, time to call HP as you may have a bad connection in the printer.
