Well hold on now. I think it is encumbent upon HP to undate this Easy Scan App so that nothing appears in the scanner selection until one is actually selected. When I launched this application, it appeared to me that the App detected my scanner and made it my default device, when in fact it did not. This should be an easy fix for HP and it will probably eliminate thousands of users having the same issue. There are a LOT of users struggling with Easy Scan.
I think you should make this recommendation to the developers. This would close the loop properly on this issue.
