I have macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 and it is not working with the HP Easy Scan app. What can I do? I have a HP DeskJet 3630 and the printer is working fine, it is just the scan app that I cannot open.

Hi @GudrunF,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering issues with HP Easy Scan on macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Update HP Easy Scan: Ensure that you have the latest version of HP Easy Scan installed on your Mac. You can check for updates in the App Store under the "Updates" tab.
  • Check System Requirements: Make sure that your macOS version is compatible with the version of HP Easy Scan you're using. Sometimes, certain versions of apps may not work properly with specific macOS updates.
  • Restart Your Mac: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve software glitches and temporary issues. Restart your Mac and then try opening HP Easy Scan again.
  • Reinstall HP Easy Scan: If restarting doesn't solve the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling HP Easy Scan. To uninstall, drag the HP Easy Scan app from the Applications folder to the Trash, and then empty the Trash. After that, download and install the latest version of HP Easy Scan from the App Store.
  • Check for HP Printer Drivers: Make sure that your HP printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website specifically for your HP DeskJet 3630 model.
  • Permissions: Check if HP Easy Scan has the necessary permissions to access your scanner. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab, and ensure that HP Easy Scan is listed and has access to your scanner.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with HP Easy Scan on your macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I have the same issue and this did not work for me. I trashed my HP Easy Scan and re-installed the latest version (which I had anyways). I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and am running Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.2. I can open easy Scan and can scan and save a document. I just can't edit it. It crashes every time. I can't even crop the document to the right size. HP, please fix the bug in an update. I can use HP Smart for now but prefer Easy Scan.
