Received HP support alert email on 11/13/25 advising Mac operating systems need to install HP Easy Start driver update. The reference to applicable "Mac operating system" only shows seven "macOS X 10 versions (more...))". At the bottom of the email, there is a hyperlink to 'View in browser'. When I click on that hyperlink to determine if this driver update applies to macOS 15 (Sequoia), the following message appears: The system is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later. Two weeks later, that message continues to appear.
I am NOT inclined to download driver update hyperlinks that don't have any bearing on the mechanics of my Apple devices. Please advise if this driver alert applies to Sequoia macOS X 15. Thank you.

Hi @JLW1044,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we’re sorry for the confusion and the inconvenience caused by the email and the “system temporarily unavailable” message when you tried to view it in a browser. We know how important it is to trust that an HP driver notice applies to your exact Mac version, and we appreciate your patience.
Does the HP Easy Start alert apply to macOS 15 (Sequoia)?
Short answer: At this time, HP Easy Start does not have a Sequoia‑specific release listed on our public pages. For most HP printers, printing and scanning on macOS 15 are supported via AirPrint and the HP app, rather than a standalone Easy Start driver package. (That’s why some emails still reference older “macOS X 10” driver lines. HP has been transitioning macOS support toward AirPrint/HP App.)
What this means for you:
If your printer works with AirPrint or the HP app, you do not need to install a separate “Easy Start” driver on macOS 15. Many customers with Sequoia have successfully set up and printed using these pathways while formal Easy Start listings are updated.
Recommended path on macOS 15 Sequoia
- Use HP App (Mac App Store)
- Install HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site and sign in.
- Add your printer; the HP app will manage printing/scanning and, where applicable, check for printer firmware updates.
- Use AirPrint (built into macOS)
- Go to System Settings ▸ Printers & Scanners ▸ Add Printer.
- Select your HP printer and ensure Use: AirPrint is selected.
- AirPrint provides driverless printing (and scanning on many models).
- Check your model’s HP support page
- Visit Official HP® Support and enter your printer model.
- If macOS 15 isn’t listed yet, use HP Sapp/AirPrint. Some pages may still show support up to macOS 14 while Sequoia updates are in progress.
About the “View in browser” link showing “system temporarily unavailable”
We’re sorry for the repeated outage message you saw over the past couple of weeks. Occasional maintenance or regional service interruptions can cause that error; we understand it’s frustrating when you’re just trying to confirm applicability for your Mac. If this happens again, please use the direct paths above (HP App, AirPrint, or your printer’s driver page**) while we restore the page availability.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
