HP Easy Start freezes at "Preparing for device setup..."

HP Easy Start  freezes at "Preparing for device setup..." I have tried uninstalling the software, and it still will not work only lets me skip to installing software.  Once I do this and try to open one of the options (scan to computer, device administrator), I get the message, "This program has been blocked by the administrator."

I understand that you are getting "This program has been blocked by the administrator" error, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
