macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hello,

 

I'm trying to set u my scanner in my computer. My scanner prompted me to install HP Easy start but when try to download it says I can't open the application because the classic environment is no longer supported.

 

Could you please advise what should I do?

I understand you're encountering an issue with HP Easy Start not being supported on your MacOS version. Since HP Easy Start relies on certain system components that may not be available in newer MacOS versions, you might need to explore alternative solutions for setting up your scanner.

 

Here are a few steps you can try:

 

  • HP Support Website: Visit the HP support website and search for your printer model. There, you might find updated drivers or software specifically designed for MacOS 10.14 Mojave.
  • HP Smart App: Consider using the HP Smart app, which is available on the Mac App Store. This app often provides scanning functionality for HP printers and might work with your Officejet Pro 9010.
  • MacOS Built-in Scanning: MacOS comes with built-in scanning functionality through the "Image Capture" app. Connect your HP Officejet Pro 9010 to your Mac and then open Image Capture (you can find it in the Applications folder or search for it using Spotlight). Your scanner should appear in the list of devices, allowing you to scan documents directly.
