Hi, I’m hoping that someone may be able to assist  me. I’m not at all techie so you’ll have to excuse me. I have just joined your forum as an ‘old’ man trying to keep up with technology. My HP Envy 120 has mysteriously developed a fault whereby when I switch the printer on and it goes through the software loading process the printers screen stays blank and no longer goes to the homepage screen.

I’ve tried using the ? function which then switches to the Home and Return touch button function icons, which when used goes back to the ? function. The screen remains blank. Thanks

Hi @TQ7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Envy 120 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Andy, thank you for your response, the instructions of which I will follow up in the next day or so and let you know if it’s resolved the issue.
Interestingly, I may have found a temporary unconventional solution, which seems to work.

Having powered up and allowed to completely finish its firing up  process, (the printer screen is blank in the open position),  I’ve found that by way of manually opening the screen fractionally further the printer defaults to the Home Screen with all functions fully available and operational.
Not an ideal but a useful stop gap solution.
