Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Let's get your HP Envy 4500 connected to Wi-Fi so your computer can communicate with it properly. Please follow these steps:

Option 1: Using the Printer Control Panel

  1. Power on your printer.
  2. On the printer's display, press the Wireless icon.
  3. Go to Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  4. The printer will search for available networks.
  5. Select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) from the list.
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard.
  7. Once connected, the wireless light should stop blinking and remain solid.

Option 2: Using HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Download the HP Smart app:
  2. Open the app and click Set up a new printer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to Wi-Fi.
  4. The app will help install drivers and complete setup.

Additional Tips

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz, as the Envy 4500 does not support 5 GHz.
  • Temporarily disable any VPN or firewall during setup.
  • If the printer was previously connected to another network, consider doing a network reset:
    • Press Wireless + Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds to reset wireless settings.
