Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Envy 4512 stopped printing color and auto duplexing.

It copies in color.

id a complete uninstall.  Reinstalled.

It only prints black and manual duplexing.

Success, I solved the problem.

1.  The problem started after MS did a Windows update.  That in the past has created issues.

2. Removed the printer from the computer using the control panel.

3. Uninstalled all HP software from the computer except for IRIS.

4. Ran Piriform's CCleaner and deleted garbage files.

5. Ran the CCleaner Registry Cleaner and deleted all excess files.

6. Restarted the computer.

7. Installed the printer from the original CD.  When asked to go on line to look for "updated" software, I declined and installed from CD.

8. I did not install the HP Updater, but installed HP Help and the Product Improvement files.

9. After installation, the Envy 4512 was back in full capacity: automated duplex, printing in color from all programs.

For those who read my problem, thank you.

For all: Beware of the Ides of MS.  Finally, after so many issues over time, I should be able to see the light.
