Hello,
I have ordered the HP Envy 4527 printer through Amazon.co.uk.
I understand that I need to install printer software (drivers) on my laptop in order to use it. Do I download this sorftware onto my laptop PRIOR to connnecting the printer to the laptop of after I've connected the two ??
Or will all the instructions for setup (inc. drivers and connection) be included with the printer when it arrives ??
Thanks.

Hi @Chris_1964,
Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.
You may download the drivers for macOS 10.12 Sierra from the link: Printer Drivers for Sierra
You may also check the User Guide for information about the unit from the link: User Manual
You have a good day ahead.

Hi @Chris_1964,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you wanted to know if the instructions for setup (drivers and connection instructions) be included with the printer.
Yes, you get the instructions for setup with the unit.
If the operating system on your computer is Mac OS 10.12 Sierra, then you may need to install the drivers from Apple Update.
You may check the link: Installing a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update
For the scanning software, you may check the link: How to Scan from the Computer (Mac)
I hope this solves your issue or query.
You have a good day ahead.

This is what it says on the page when you click the link you provided.....
" Since October 2016, HP printer software packages are no longer delivered through Apple Software Update. Visit 123.hp.com to download the latest HP software for your printer. Alternatively, if your printer supports Apple AirPrint, you do not need a driver to print from your Mac or iOS device. For more information, go to About AirPrint "
So it seems that all drivers are at ' 123.hp.com '.
Or all drivers for all Mac OSx versions (Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan) are at '123.hp.com' except for Sierra ??
I am now thoroughly confused.
