Having just completed a clean install of Windows 11 I now want to download all of the necessary software/drivers for my HP Envy 5032 WITHOUT using the HP Smart App.
Everywhere I look on the HP site, all I see is the option to use the Smart App and I definitely don't want to use that as I do not like it at all.
Can anyone help please?
Thank you

Hi @Bluenose1940, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I hear you on wanting to avoid the HP Smart App but think of it as a trusty guide that makes your printer work like a charm. HP products are crafted to deliver a smooth, seamless experience, offering you reliable performance with every use.
However, if you want to skip the HP Smart App, you can still download the drivers directly from the HP support page. Just follow the steps below, and we’ll get everything running like clockwork! 😊
You can download drivers for your HP Envy 5032 without the HP Smart App with these steps:
- Go to the HP Support website: Visit HP Support.
- Search for your printer: Enter "HP Envy 5032" in the search bar.
- Choose your operating system: Select "Windows 11" from the dropdown menu.
- Select the driver: Look for the appropriate driver, excluding the HP Smart App.
- Download and install: Click the download link and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
To make things easier for you I'm dropping the link to page as well: Click Here
I totally get that you're not a fan of the HP Smart App, but it can make managing the printer a lot easier. 😅
Here's the deal: If the drivers for Windows 11 are available, you can definitely download them directly, no problem there! 🙌 But, if they’re not listed or the installation hits a bump, the HP Smart App is designed to smoothly handle the process and ensure everything's set up properly.
I know it sounds like a bit of extra effort, but trust me, it’ll save you time and frustration in the long run. Let’s give it a shot! 💪
Hope I was able to make things easier for you! 😊
If this solved your issue, go ahead and mark it as "Accepted Solution" and hit "Yes"—your feedback keeps us going and helps others too! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day! 🚀
Best regards,

Hello Kuroi_Kenshi,
Thank you so much for your very comprehensive and helpful reply. I managed to download everything that I wanted and all is working absolutely fine now.
Perhaps I need to get to understand the HP Smart App a bit more. I intially downloaded the app and tried to do a scan but I couldn't work out how to get at naming what I was scanning and nor could I choose a desitination folder which I can do with what I was looking for and now have.
If there is a way to do all of this with the Smart App, could you please point me in the direction of some explanatory notes that will help me get to grips with it.
I am in my 85th year and although I am reasonably competent on my computer, I can get confused when thing get a bit technical.
Thanks again for your help with the download, it's very much appreciated.

You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear everything is working smoothly now. 😊
The HP Smart App does have options for naming scans and choosing a destination folder, though I completely understand that it can feel a bit tricky at first. I’d be happy to guide you through it, just let me know how you’d like to proceed!
And of course, feel free to reach out anytime if you need any further assistance. Wishing you many more hassle-free tech moments! 🚀
Best Regards,

Hello again Kuroi_Kenshi,
Once again, thank you for your off er help.
I would be more than happy to use the HP Smart App if I can get to grips with the various intricacies of setting thigs up.
If you could outline the procedure for naming scans and choosing the file I wish to save it to. I find this very easy with the software that I have downloaded and have been using this for a very long time. This software puts a small icon on my desktop which I can just click on and I'm ready to go. f I can end up doing that with the App then I'll be happy to use it. Who knows, I might find it to be a better option than what I'm using at the moment.
Thanks again.
