Message Received: Error installing network device within the HP 5055 full software install
Prep Work: New printer configured for wireless at 192. {not publishing specific address}. The SSID for wireless as well as the IP Address show up properly
In the full install, it finds and identifies the printer. I select that and press enter after it has checked the network environment. After about 8 minutes it dies saying that it failed to connect the network device
I follow all the steps including rebooting router etc. These steps do not help
I use HP Print and Scan Doctor which sees the device and tries to install, and fails. However, it also shows that the SSID is blank and the IP address is blank unlike on the printer itself which is correct.
Incidently, this is the latest windows 10 Build known as April 2018 Update,
There is a question posed related to whether my Spectrum modem is on my home network. As that is proprietary, I can only guess but as it is a 192 address, it seems it is.
Have tried both manual and automatic wireless connect. Both fail the same way.
I've repeated these steps with Windows firewall turned off. No change
Have also tried with USB to wireless assist. No change.
I really need remote support. The community, unfortunately does not have the benefit of seeing what I probably poorly described. How can I get a remote session with HP???? And how can I be sure it is HP?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums,
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.
They will contact you shortly and likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.
Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (such as serial numbers and case details).
Cheers.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
This is a great place to get support, find answers to your technical queries.
Check the router band: Many routers can operate in both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands, but not all HP printers support both bands. Make sure the 2.4 GHz router band is enabled and broadcasting. If the router broadcasts separate network names (SSIDs) for each band, connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz band SSID.
I have sent you a private message, for the further course of action that cannot be shared in a public post.
Can you please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
Have a great day!
