My printer says it cannot print. The actual wording is as follows:

Connect Printer

Cannot print. Press OK to connect printer to update status. (I have tried this to no avail)

It then follows with the following statement:

Update in Progress

This may take several minutes. I have left the printer all night to update but nothing has helped. I am now getting desperate as I have some printing to do.

Please advise if this can be fixed or do  need to purchase a new printer?
