My printer is connected to my Tenda WiFi mesh on 5GHz and has a local IP, but I can't connect to it from any devices - iPad, laptops (win10 and 11) and iPhone and Android phones. I used to be able to print to it on this network (though it was flaky and dropped offline quite a lot), but now nothing. What do I need to do? TIA!

Hi @MikeyOsb,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 6000 printer is connected to your Tenda WiFi mesh network but you're unable to connect or print to it from any of your devices, here are some steps you can try.
Check Printer Connectivity
- Verify Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the Tenda WiFi mesh network. You can check this on the printer's control panel or via the printer's web interface if available.
- Signal Strength: Ensure that the printer is within range of the WiFi network and that there are no physical obstructions affecting the signal.
Restart Devices
- Restart Printer: Power off your HP Envy 6000 printer, wait for a few seconds, and then power it back on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
- Restart Router: Restart your Tenda WiFi mesh router. This can help refresh the network connections and resolve any temporary network issues.
Check Network Settings
- IP Address: Confirm that the printer has a valid IP address on your network. You mentioned it has a local IP, so ensure it's on the same subnet as your other devices.
- DHCP Settings: If the printer is set to a static IP, ensure that the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS settings are correct. Alternatively, you can set the printer to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) from the router.
Update Printer Firmware
- Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Envy 6000 printer. Updating the firmware can fix bugs and improve connectivity.
Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Device Drivers: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer drivers on your devices can resolve communication issues. Download the latest drivers from HP's official website and reinstall them on your Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
Firewall and Security Settings
- Firewall Settings: Ensure that your firewall or security software on your devices is not blocking communication with the printer. Adjust firewall settings if necessary to allow printer communication.
Reset Printer Network Settings
- Reset Network Settings: As a last resort, you can reset the network settings on your HP Envy 6000 printer. This usually involves accessing the printer's settings menu or web interface and choosing the option to reset network settings. Afterward, you'll need to reconnect the printer to your WiFi network.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issues with your HP Envy 6000 printer on your Tenda WiFi mesh network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
