I am using a MAC OS Sequoia 15.4.1.
The printer was working well then suddenly it has stopped printing.
It scans but does not print.
It shows the print confirmation / on the display panel but does not actually print the document.
I have tried everything and I have not found HP Smart app very useful either as its diagnostics test says all is well.
I have downloaded the scan dr.exe file and it is not accessible!
HELP before I break it into pieces and post it back to HP!

Hi @DD293
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That sounds incredibly frustrating! Since your HP Envy 6132e scans but refuses to print, let's go through some troubleshooting steps to get it working again.
Step 1: Restart Everything
- Power cycle the printer – Turn it off, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart your Mac – A fresh reboot can clear any stuck print jobs.
- Restart your router – If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, a network reset might help.
Step 2: Check Printer Connection
- Open System Preferences → Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and check if it shows "Idle" or "Offline".
- If it’s offline, remove the printer (- button) and re-add it (+ button).
Step 3: Reset the Print System
- Open System Preferences → Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click anywhere in the printer list and select Reset Printing System.
- Re-add your printer and try printing again.
Step 4: Check for Stuck Print Jobs
- Open System Preferences → Printers & Scanners.
- Click Open Print Queue and cancel any stuck jobs.
Step 5: Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Download the latest drivers from HP’s support page.
- Install the drivers and restart your Mac.
Step 6: Try a Test Print
- Open TextEdit and type a few words.
- Click File → Print and select your printer.
- If it prints, the issue may be with a specific application.
Step 7: Check HP Smart Settings
- Open HP Smart and go to Printer Settings.
- Ensure the printer is set as Default.
- Try printing from HP Smart instead of other apps.
