Product: hp envy 6230

The printer is locked on startup screen. I've tried many time the procedure of unplug/plug with no success. Impossible of course to update the firmware since the prinetr is frozen on startup screen and no communication to the computer can be made.

I've seen that this is a classical issue, common to several printer of the same family. Can't believe there is no semi-hardware procedure for a factory reset... Is it programmed obsolescence or just bad design?
