HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I upgraded to Windows 11. That kicked my connection to my printer. So I uninstalled the driver & the HP Smart app and reinstalled the app and I could see my printer again. However, now I cannot print in color or double sided. When I choose Printer Properties from the Printers & Scanners menu it says No in both categories. I decided to install the Basic Driver found on the HP Envy 7155 page and then restarted my computer and it still won't print in color. The test page even says that it will not print in color. I can print color from my phone to the printer so I know that it is NOT a  printer issue but instead a driver issue with my computer. I do not know what the next step is. I cannot find an option in HP Smart app to help me upgrade the driver. I don't know if it matters but Windows only lists my printer as a 7100 series, not specifically as a 7155.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting duplexing issues and unable to print in color, I am glad to assist you.

This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer-related software.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install printer using HP Smart app.
