Envy 7640 prints fine. But, HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.7.4 says I have two products visible from my computer. I have only one printer, but it has two names! The first name: HP ENVY 7640 series (Copy 1) USB. The second name: HP ENVY 7640 series 192.168.1.157. Should one be deleted, and if so, how to delete? Or, ... what?

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:
Check Default Printer
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- See which printer is set as the default (it should have a green checkmark).
- If the network printer (e.g., "HP ENVY 7640 series) is set as default, you can leave it, or choose the USB printer if preferred.
2. Remove Duplicate Printer
- Right-click on the printer name you don't need (e.g., "HP ENVY 7640 series (Copy 1) USB") under Devices and Printers.
- Select Remove device or Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
3. Reboot Your Computer
- After deleting, restart your computer to ensure the changes take effect.
4. Verify Printer in HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Run HP Print and Scan Doctor again and check if only the network printer remains.
