When printing from laptop or iPhone the HP Envy printer prints using large fonts and the pages cannot be adjusted to normal size. Please help. Already restored settings on printer, and reset router.

Hi @2024Viking,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Envy 7958e printer is printing documents with unusually large fonts. There are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

Check Printer Settings

  1. Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up-to-date. Visit the Official HP® Support and download the latest drivers compatible with your HP Envy 7958e.

  2. Print Settings: Before printing, verify the settings in the print dialog box on your computer or device. Ensure the scaling or resizing options are set to fit your desired paper size.

Adjust Print Settings on Your Laptop

  1. Document Layout: Open the document you want to print. Navigate to the 'File' menu and select 'Print.'

  2. Properties/Preferences: Click 'Printer Properties' or 'Preferences.' Ensure the scale or size is set to 'Actual Size' or the intended size you need.

  3. Preview: Check the document preview to ensure it looks correct before printing.

Adjust Print Settings on Your iPhone

  1. Print Options: When printing from your iPhone, ensure you have selected the correct paper size and print settings from the print options screen.

  2. App Settings: Sometimes apps have independent print settings that may affect font sizes. Review these settings before printing.

Try Printing a Test Page

Print a test page directly from the printer to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if the problem is with the printer or the connected device.

Reset Printer Settings

Since you've already restored the printer settings and reset the router, ensure any custom or app-specific settings aren't overriding default print sizes.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
