Microsoft Windows 11

I recently bought a secondhand HP Envy Inspire 7955e and initially it worked great on my wireless network. However it recently stopped working and even after a full factory reset it will not connect to my HP account and thus I cannot print as this printer will not allow for a USB connection due to the instant ink requirement.

the error message code: UA_400_EB000U0410

Feeling very unINSPIREd by this printer and the restrictive policies HP has concocted. Figured I’d try to see if I can fix this without having contact with the original owner but I’m not feeling good….

Also taking recommendations for a non-HP color printer with auto-duplex 😂 that accepts third party ink…. Learned my lesson buying second hand.

Hello SyroneB,

Thank you for sharing your concern.

The error code "UA_400_EB000U0410" that you are encountering with your HP Envy Inspire 7955e can indicate an issue with online connectivity or communication with the HP servers. Here are some steps to troubleshoot this issue:

Check Internet Connection:

Ensure that your internet connection is active and stable. You can try connecting another device to the network to confirm there are no connectivity issues.
Restart Devices:

Power cycle your printer, router, and computer. Unplug each device for a few seconds before plugging them back in and restarting them.
Reconfigure Wireless Network:

Go through the wireless setup again from the printer's control panel. Ensure to select the correct network and enter the correct password.
Update Printer Firmware:

Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer using the HP Smart app or the HP support website. Installing the latest firmware can resolve many connectivity issues.
Verify HP Account Credentials:

Double-check that the HP account login credentials you are using are correct.
You can try logging into your HP account from a web browser to ensure your username and password are correct.
Disable Firewall Temporarily:

Temporarily disable any firewall or security software on your network to see if it is blocking the printer's connection to the internet.
Use HP Smart App:

Use the HP Smart app to connect the printer to your network and manage your HP account. This app can help troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
Check Instant Ink Enrollment:

Ensure your Instant Ink enrollment is active and correctly set up if your printer uses Instant Ink. Review the account settings related to subscription and billing.
Contact HP Support:

If the problem persists, contact HP Support for assistance. Mention the error code you're encountering so they can provide more targeted help.
