HP ENVY Inspire 7924e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Good morning,

I've a serious installation problem. The system is not able to find a driver for the printer. The scanner seems to work but not the printer. Even in the windows printer server settings the driver of the printer is not listed, and the answer is always "impossible to find the driver".

Incredibly I've tried to install the printer in an old pc with W7(!) and (after many difficulties) the driver was installed and is working.

But not in my W11 pc.

Help!

Hi Sandytechy20, thank you for your reply.

Of course I've tried to install drivers with HP Smart and with Windows printer server in many ways without results.

At the end, after two days of trying, I called HP support (Italy), to which I gave the remote control of my pc. The technician too was not able to correctly install drivers. At the end the problem has been fixed by the technician by forcing an installation of a full set of drivers directly in my windows 11, without using HP Smart or Win printer server.

Conclusion: my W11 should have same bug, maybe because my pc had a native W10 os, successively updated in w11. Effectively, when trying to install drivers with HP Smart, the application recognized my os as W10 even if it is a W11 now.

For the moment, everything seems to be working.

Thank you all.
