Hi @BFarmer,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Verify Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and there is paper in the tray.
  • Check for any error messages on the printer display and resolve them by following the onscreen instructions.

Check for Paused or Offline Status:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Click View devices and printers under Hardware and Sound.
  • Right-click your HP Envy Inspire printer and select See what's printing.
  • Ensure there are no check marks next to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline in the Printer menu.

Set the Printer as Default:

  • In the Control Panel, click View devices and printers.
  • Right-click your HP Envy Inspire printer and select Set as Default Printer.
  • Ensure the default printer has a check mark in a green circle next to it.

Restart the Print Spooler:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Click System and Security, then Administrative Tools.
  • Double-click Services.
  • Scroll down and locate the Print Spooler service.
  • Right-click Print Spooler and select Properties.
  • On the General tab, ensure Startup type is set to Automatic.
  • If the service isn’t running, click Start under Service status, then click OK.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Click View devices and printers.
  • Double-click your HP Envy Inspire printer to open the print queue.
  • Click Cancel all documents or Purge Print Document on the Printer menu and confirm.
  • Restart your computer and check the print queue again to ensure it is clear.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Software and Drivers page to download the latest drivers for your HP Envy Inspire printer.
  • Follow the instructions to update the drivers or reinstall them if necessary.

Check for Windows 11 Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates and install any available updates, as compatibility issues might cause this problem.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect any cables (e.g., USB).
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 15 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect the cables.
  • Turn on the printer and try printing again.

I hope this helps.
