HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

HP ENVY Photo 7155 is stuck in boot loop, assumed after a failed update, other users have described the same issue, buttons are digital and inaccessable, Pre-Boot UI is not available due to this, Hardwire connection is unuseable. I've powered cycled numerous times and cleared any possible jams and removed ink cartridges.

Please advise.

Hi Luszczbill22 ,

Your realistic options now

Option 1: HP support (only useful if under warranty)

If still covered:

Request replacement due to failed firmware update

Use wording: “Firmware update caused continuous reboot and no recovery UI access”

Option 2: Logic board replacement

Possible via third-party repair

Cost often 70–90% of a new printer

Risky (firmware lock may persist)

Option 3: Replace printer (most common outcome)

Unfortunately, this is what most users end up doing.

The uncomfortable truth

If:

  • The printer never reaches the HP logo screen
  • The touchscreen never becomes responsive
  • No pre-boot or recovery menu appears

👉 The main logic board firmware is bricked

HP does not provide:

  • Public firmware flashing tools
  • JTAG recovery
  • Board-level re-flashing support
