HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

My HP Envy Photo 7155 will only print in black and not in color.  Both cartridges have been replaced with HP genuine inkjet cartridges.  I've run through all the printer setups including alignment and head cleaning.  Still not printing in color.

I understand your HP Envy Photo 7155 printer is not printing in color despite replacing both cartridges with genuine HP ink and running through the setup processes, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue: 

 

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the color ink cartridge is not empty. Sometimes, even new cartridges can be faulty or have issues with the ink supply.

Clean Printhead Manually: If the automatic printhead cleaning didn't resolve the issue, you can try cleaning the printhead manually. Here's how:

  • Turn on the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the color ink cartridge.
  • Locate the printhead assembly (usually beneath the cartridge slots).
  • Moisten a lint-free cloth with distilled water and gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on the printhead.
  • Reinstall the color ink cartridge and close the ink cartridge access door.
  • Try printing a color document again to see if the issue is resolved.

Printer Driver Settings: Check your printer driver settings to ensure that color printing is enabled. Sometimes, default settings or driver updates can affect printing preferences.

Check Printer Preferences: When printing from your computer, ensure that the print job is set to color and not grayscale or black and white.

Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix bugs or issues with printing. Update the firmware on an HP printer
