HP Envy Setup

I am trying to set up my new wireless printer through my phone. The screenshots below describe the cycle I have now been through six times. I select the printer, select my wifi network, wait, and am told that an error has occurred. I would appreciate any insights anyone may be able to offer.

Some ideas...

On your supported iPad / iPhone

First, make sure your mobile device is updated to the latest version of iOS.

Older versions may balk...

At this writing, for iPad, that is likely 14.4

Switch on both Bluetooth and Location .

For example, for HP Smart might use Bluetooth for the initial connection.

Sign into HP Smart with your HP Account credentials.

If you continue to have problems,

Printer supports dual wireless - but not at the same time!

Consider:  Assign (on your router) a unique SSID network name for the 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks.

Connect the printer to the SSID that you intend to use.
