HI, Hope you all keeping safe and well.

Having scanning and connection problems

Added new laptop to which downloaded and installed HP Smart app.

Laptop recognizes and prints to printer. HP smart sees printer and reports cartridge level.

Scan does not work

'Scan' from HP Smart = 'Couldn't Connect to Scanner'

'Scan' from printer does not list (any) the laptop device instead states 'Software Required' visit 123,hp,com and download HP Software (Does not say which just ALL). - I don't know which to download since Help and support from my printer (from my account) > Software and Drivers > launches to HP Smart which I have already downloaded and installed. Do I download any other software?

 

HP Print and Scan Doctor reports 'Device error' requiring restart  which I do but makes no difference.

Any help would be appreciated.
