HP LESER JET M1005 MPF DUPLEX PRINT NOT WORKING

Hi @ankitzhere

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems that you're having trouble with duplex printing (double-sided printing) on your HP LaserJet M1005 MFP. Unfortunately, the HP LaserJet M1005 MFP does not have built-in duplex printing capabilities (automatic double-sided printing). This model can only print single-sided directly, meaning it lacks the hardware necessary for automatic duplex printing.

However, there are a couple of ways you can manually print double-sided documents on this printer if needed:

Manual Duplex Printing

If you really need to print on both sides of the paper, you can manually print duplex on the HP LaserJet M1005 MFP by following these steps:

Step-by-Step Process for Manual Duplex Printing:

Print the Odd-Numbered Pages First:

  • Open the document you want to print.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • Select the HP LaserJet M1005 as your printer.
  • Under Print Range, select Odd Pages or Pages 1, 3, 5, etc. (The option might vary depending on the software you're using).
  • Click Print to print only the odd-numbered pages of your document.

Re-insert the Paper for Even Pages:

  • Once the odd-numbered pages are printed, take the printed sheets and place them back in the printer tray.
  • Ensure that you put the paper in the correct orientation (typically, the printed side should face down, but this might depend on your printer settings and paper type).
  • Be careful to ensure the pages are loaded exactly as they were before printing.

Print the Even-Numbered Pages:

  • Now, go back to the Print Setup or Print Range and select Even Pages (Pages 2, 4, 6, etc.).
  • Click Print, and the printer will print on the back of the odd-numbered pages.

This method is called manual duplex printing, and while it’s not as convenient as automatic duplex printing, it allows you to print on both sides of the paper without needing a printer with duplex capabilities.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
