107w
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

Was having some problems after updating my firmware on my HP 107w laser printer. I grabbed a copy of the earlier firmware and it seems I was unable to downgrade the firmware.

I found some instructions online on how you can downgrade the firmware using an SPI programmer. I desoldered the flash chip, and sadly managed to snap off one of the legs. (I know, serves me right for messing about)

I have bought a replacement chip (W25Q64JVSSIQ)

and I could do with the correct firmware .bin file for v3.82.01.08 (the previous firmware I was on).

Is there some way somebody can provide me with this binary file so I can fix my printer?

Thank you in advance!

I managed to sort this out. I found firmware dumps available online and managed to flash this to my replacement chip, resolder it to the board and brought my printer back to life!!

If anybody struggles with something similar in the future then please feel free to PM me and I can point you in the right direction, once you know what you're doing it's really easy.
