Hi,
The new printer 137FNW is connected to my office LAN network.
All pc's in the office can print to this device with no issue yet the HP MFP scan software doesn't detect the scanner of this device, not by hostname nor by IP.
I tried to uninstall the printer --> reinstall it with HP driver --> Same issue. The HP MFP scan does not detect it. The software can find other HP scanners on the network but not this one. Any advice?
The PC uses Win 10 64-bit or Win 11

Hi @Shai2024,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing an issue with scanning from the devices that are connected to your printer.
A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.
1) Take out the cartridges
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

Thanks Irwin6
What resolved the issue was a firmware update to the printer.
Then a reboot to the printer and the pc's on that network could detect the scanner with the HP MFP Scan software.
Thanks again for your assistance.
