Thank you for sending me the info.  Unfortunately, I tried both ways, even with help from a Dell tech support person.  I even called the HP Support line.  Per the Tech Support person, the printer is too old and the drive is not supported in Windows 10.  I explained that it worked in Windows 10 last year and even when I upgraded to Windows 11 last year.  A few days ago, I had to reinstall the operating system back to Windows 10.  Now, I cannot seem to find the drive for the HP Laser Jet 1018. Any suggestions?

If you use the HP Print and Scan Doctor you should find that it will install the driver.
