We know how frustrating it feels when your LaserJet Pro M148dw refuses to join your Wi‑Fi network. The printer sits there with a quiet hum, almost ready, but not quite connected. Let’s gently walk it back onto your wireless network together.

This model does support full Wi‑Fi, and the steps below will get it online.

1. Restore Wi‑Fi Setup Mode (Important First Step)

Before connecting, the printer must be placed in “Wi‑Fi Setup Mode.”

To reset the wireless settings:

  1. Press and hold:
    Wireless button (📶) + Cancel (X)
  2. Hold for 5 seconds
  3. The Wireless light will begin blinking

This means your printer is ready to connect to Wi‑Fi.

2. Connect with the HP App (Recommended by HP)

This is the easiest and most successful method.

Download or open the HP App

👉 HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site

In the app:

  1. Tap Add Printer
  2. Choose HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw – Setup
  3. Select your Wi‑Fi network
  4. Enter the password
  5. Wait for the HP App to finish configuration

When connected, the blue Wi‑Fi light stops blinking and stays solid.
