HP LaserJet M110w

I'm trying to get this piece of garbage connected to the wifi. Unsurprisingly, the app can't seem to find the printer. YES, I've restarted everything. YES, I've gone through every instruction the virtual agent AND the written directions told me to. Since the search for it wasn't working, I clicked that my printer wasn't listed to try to add it manually. When I went to my settings, it showed the WiFi network for the printer as DIRECT-f0-HP M110 LaserJet. I knew it wasn't going to work, but I clicked on it anyway and it asked for a password. No dice. There IS no password for the stupid printer. It says it needs a WPA2 password. I tried my WiFi network password, no dice. Didn't work. I have NEVER had a good experience with these godawful HP printers and connecting them to the wifi. It's never once worked and this is the third printer I've tried it with.

Someone please help before I throw this thing at a wall.

Hi @NonShigjetari,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting your HP LaserJet M110w printer to Wi-Fi. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart your printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a minute. Plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Check your Wi-Fi network: Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is working and other devices can connect to it.
  • Check signal strength: Make sure your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network. If it's too far away, it may not be able to connect.
  • Reset the printer network settings: Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for five seconds until the light starts to blink. This will reset the printer's network settings.
  • Use the HP Smart app: Download the HP Smart app on your phone or tablet and follow the instructions to connect your printer to Wi-Fi.
  • Update the printer firmware: Check for any available firmware updates on the HP website and follow the instructions to update your printer's firmware.
  • Check your Wi-Fi network security: Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is not using WEP security, as it is not supported by the HP LaserJet M110w printer. Try using WPA or WPA2 instead.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
