Hi @Hekman,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It looks like you're dealing with a driver issue on your HP LaserJet M1120 Multifunction printer for macOS. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the scanning issue.

Check for HP Software Updates:

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  • Download the latest drivers and software for your MacOS version. Even if you’re running macOS 10.12.6, it’s a good idea to check if there are compatible drivers available.

Use HP Easy Start:

  • Download and install HP Easy Start from the HP Easy Start website.
  • This utility will help you install the necessary drivers and software for scanning.

Check Printer Compatibility:

  • Confirm that your HP LaserJet M1120 is compatible with macOS 10.12.6 or 12.4. Sometimes, older printers might not have updated drivers for newer OS versions.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your Mac’s Printers & Scanners settings.
  • Restart your Mac.
  • Re-add the printer using the updated drivers.

Check Scanner Configuration:

  • Ensure that the scanner is properly connected and recognized by your Mac.
  • Try scanning using Preview or another scanning application to see if the issue persists across different programs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
