I am trying to install the printer of hp laserjet p1005 on my laptop Acer and Prestigio, but the installation process does not proceed till the end. The loading window is loading until it is written "Preinstalling the driver files....", then "Copying files to the hard drive...." and suddenly the loading window disappears without any notification whether the printer has been installed successfully or not.
Could you please help me to solve this issue?

It looks like the installation process for your HP LaserJet P1005 printer is failing during the driver installation phase. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
Check Driver Compatibility
- Ensure you're using the correct Windows 10 (64-bit) driver from the official HP website:
🔗 HP LaserJet P1005 Drivers - Download the latest full feature driver or the basic driver package.
Run the Installer as Administrator
- Right-click on the driver setup file.
- Select Run as Administrator.
- Follow the installation steps.
Check if the Printer is Already Installed
Sometimes, the installation completes but doesn't show a success message.
- Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
- Check if HP LaserJet P1005 appears.
- If listed, right-click → Set as Default Printer.
- Try printing a test page.
Use Windows Built-in Driver
If the HP installer isn't working, try manually installing the driver:
- Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
- Click Add a Printer → The printer that I want isn't listed.
- Choose Add a local printer with manual settings.
- Select Use an existing port (USB001: Virtual printer port).
- Click Next, then choose HP → HP LaserJet P1005 (or "Windows Update" to download it).
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Manually Install the Driver Using Device Manager
- Unplug the printer and restart your laptop.
- Go to Device Manager (Win + X → Device Manager).
- Find "Unknown Device" or "HP LaserJet P1005" (under "Printers" or "Other devices").
- Right-click → Update Driver.
- Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
- Navigate to the folder where the HP driver is extracted and install.
Try HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP's website.
- Run the tool and let it diagnose and fix driver issues.

Check for Windows Updates
Sometimes, missing Windows updates prevent driver installations.
- Go to Settings → Update & Security.
- Click Check for updates.
- Install pending updates, restart, and retry the installation.
Try Installing in Compatibility Mode
- Right-click the driver installer.
- Select Properties → Compatibility.
- Check Run this program in compatibility mode for and choose Windows 7.
- Apply changes and run the installer.
Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily
Some security software blocks driver installations.
- Temporarily disable antivirus/firewall.
- Retry the installation.
- Re-enable security after installation.
If the issue persists, let me know which step caused a problem, and I’ll guide you further! 😊
