Hi @Arun1976 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP LaserJet P1007 printer is showing that there's a print job in the queue but it's not printing, there could be several reasons behind this issue.
Here's a step-by-step troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem:
Check Printer Status: Make sure that the printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer or network. Also, ensure that there is enough paper in the tray and that the toner cartridge has enough toner.
Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, a stuck print job can prevent other jobs from printing. To clear the print queue:
- Open the Control Panel on your computer.
- Go to "Devices and Printers."
- Right-click on your HP LaserJet P1007 printer and select "See what's printing."
- In the print queue window, click on "Printer" in the top menu and select "Cancel All Documents."
- Confirm the action if prompted.
Restart Printer Spooler Service: The print spooler service manages the print jobs in Windows. Restarting it might help resolve the issue:
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
- In the Services window, locate "Print Spooler" in the list.
- Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Restart."
Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing problems. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.
Check Printer Connections: Ensure that the USB or network cable connecting the printer to your computer or network is securely plugged in. If you're using a network printer, make sure it's connected to the network properly.
Reset Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
Test Print: Try printing a test page to see if the printer responds. You can usually do this through the printer's control panel or from the printer settings on your computer.
Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with the printer, such as a faulty cable, printhead, or other component.
